Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety protocols tailored to the complexities of a steel plant environment.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with site-specific regulations.
- Oversee manpower safety, ensuring that all personnel are adequately trained, equipped, and informed of site risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness through regular training sessions, toolbox talks, and effective communication with all levels of the workforce.
- Manage plant safety documentation, including maintenance of safety records, permit systems, and regulatory reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety best practices into daily production workflows and long-term plant objectives.
- Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in a relevant field.
- 6 to 15 years of professional experience, specifically within the steel industry or large-scale heavy industrial manufacturing.
- Expert knowledge of Industrial Safety and Plant safety standards.
- Proven experience in effective manpower handling and team management.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on incident prevention and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence behaviors and enforce safety policies across diverse teams.
