Position Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) operations for our food category in the Telangana region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding our market presence, and managing a high-performing sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute strategic sales plans for both GT and MT channels to achieve and exceed sales targets for our food products.
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of sales professionals, ensuring they are well-equipped to achieve their individual and team goals.
Channel Management:
General Trade (GT): Strengthen the distribution network, appoint new distributors, and foster strong relationships with wholesalers and retailers. Ensure effective last-mile reach and product availability.
Modern Trade (MT): Manage key accounts with major retail chains, supermarkets, and hypermarkets. Negotiate terms, plan promotions, and ensure optimal shelf placement and visibility for our food products.
Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior in Telangana to identify new business opportunities and refine sales strategies.
Performance Analysis: Regularly analyze sales data, track performance against targets, and provide timely reports to senior management.
Budget Management: Manage sales budgets and expenses for the region, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, distributors, and other stakeholders in the region.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as a Sales Manager in the FMCG food or a related industry, with specific expertise in managing both GT and MT channels.
In-depth knowledge of the Telangana market, including its key retail players, demographics, and consumer preferences.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver results under pressure.
A bachelor's degree is required; an MBA in Sales or Marketing is preferred.
Proficiency in English and strong communication skills are essential.
