The Senior Finance Manager (R2R) is responsible for overseeing end-to end general ledger accounting processes, ensuring the integrity of financial statements through efficient month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing cycles. This role ensures accurate financial reporting and continuous improvement of the R2R process in line with internal controls and compliance standards. The Audit Lead is responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on operational, financial, and compliance audits. This role ensures effective internal controls, risk management, and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
• Lead and manage Record-to-Report (R2R) operations, including journal entry processing, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate close of the general ledger and sub-ledgers across multiple entities or business units.
• Drive automation and standardization of R2R processes to support scalability and data accuracy, especially in high-volume transaction environments (e.g., order-to-cash, returns, vendor settlements).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and external auditors to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for the R2R function, implementing corrective measures as needed to enhance performance.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and local statutory accounting standards; familiarity with UAE and KSA accounting regulations is a strong advantage.
• Lead or support automation initiatives and ERP system upgrades to optimize R2R processes and controls.
• Conduct and lead audits across departments, focusing on financial, operational, and regulatory compliance areas.
• Identify control gaps, process weaknesses, and areas of risk within financial reporting and operations.
• Develop risk-based audit plans and manage end-to-end audit activities. • Report audit findings, draft audit reports, and follow up on implementation of corrective actions.
• Support external audits and ensure coordination with regulatory or compliance requirements (e.g., SOX).
• Collaborate with the R2R and Finance teams to verify control effectiveness and ensure audit readiness.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit tools, templates, and methodology.
