Job Description:
Overview: We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our product delivery and Scrum
team. This role requires a deep understanding of business processes, exceptional analytical
skills, and the ability to translate business needs into functional requirements. The ideal
candidate will have experience with interfaces and integration, working closely with
cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
● Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners, to gather and document
business requirements.
● Analyze and validate business needs, translating them into detailed functional
requirements.
2. Interface and Integration:
● Work closely with development teams to ensure proper implementation of business
requirements.
● Ensure data consistency and accuracy across integrated systems, by understanding,
defining and maintaining master data principles
3. Product Backlog Management:
● Assist the product owner in defining and prioritizing the product backlog.
● Ensure user stories are well-defined, clear, and actionable for the development team.
● Participate and assist PO in backlog grooming sessions to refine and prioritize user
stories.
4. Technical Documentation:
● Create comprehensive technical documentation, including process flows (preferably in
UML 2.0), use cases diagrams, and data models.
● Maintain up-to-date documentation for all project-related artifacts.
5. Stakeholder Communication:
● Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team.
● Facilitate communication to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
● Conduct regular status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
6. Testing and Validation:
● Define and execute test cases to validate that the solutions meet business requirements.
● Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve any issues that arise.
● Ensure the quality and functionality of the delivered product.
7. Agile Practices:
● Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups,
sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
● Collaborate with the Scrum Master and product owner to ensure the team follows Agile
best practices.
● Continuously seek ways to improve team efficiency and delivery.
Technical Skills:
● Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools.
● Understanding of APIs, web services, and integration patterns.
● Preferred Experience in ATS & CRM (ie salesforce, bullhorn),
● Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Preferred Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems,
or a related field.
● 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment.
● Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies is a huge plus
● Proficiency in using API management tools.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
● Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CSPO) are a plus.
- Supports the product lifecycle from product definition to product release, working closely with user teams to meet their requirements
- Supports the execution and release of products to customers, participating in post-release debugging and assisting with project closeout activities
- Assists with collection of feature requirements from customers, and translation of those to a definition of non-complex product deliverables. Assists with collection of requirements documents for each release
- Create queries and reports to support business requests that can be used for benchmarking
- Assists with modelling business processes, learning to adapt application configurations to improve the effectiveness of business operations.
- Assists with check-ins with development teams to ensure deliverables meet business requirements
