Sr. Pricing Analyst
The Sr. Pricing Analyst will collaborate closely with multiple personnel and possible Sub / Prime Contractor finance elements while generating pricing/cost narratives in our proposal response to US Federal Government Solicitations / Contracts. The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of proposal pricing within the DoD and related market segments in Information Technology, with sharp attention to detail and a keen awareness of current market conditions.
Duties include, but not limited to
- Responsible for developing cost analysis, estimates, pricing responses (narrative, pricing attachments, etc.) for task orders and complex proposal efforts, consistent with company policies, FAR, CAS, and solicitation requirements, as applicable
- Responsible for creating internal and external price sheets
- Works with the proposal team to develop cost volume schedules and supporting documentation to justify cost realism/reasonableness
- Works closely with Capture/Business Development, Contracts, Purchasing, Human Resources, and Operations to ensure accuracy of cost proposals
- Participates in pricing and BD Gate reviews with upper management and coordinates with senior staff to determine pricing structure and strategy
- Support proposal clarifications, justifications, and negotiations
- Contribute to the standardization of tools that result in compliant/quality pricing proposal
- Work with Primes and subcontractors during pricing proposal development
- Color team reviewer of other team members pricing proposals
- Support post-award program financials and contract actions as required
- Support contract modifications as directed by the US Government
- Understand business financial structures and direct and indirect cost elements
- Develops chargeback and overhead rates, used to cost and price government contracts.
- Interact with management at all levels
- Identify trends and developments through analysis and presents findings to senior management.
- Will work under general supervision in a highly visible role
- Perform other proposal duties as assigned
Required:
- 5-8 years’ experience with pricing for Government Solicitations and Proposals
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel building formulas (INDEX, VLOOKUP, IF-THEN summaries, Macros)
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience in US Government contracting
- Working knowledge of internal General Ledger Accounting, Rates and Compliance, and Cost Proposal functions Cost Accounting Standards, Federal Acquisition Regulations
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
- Knowledge of how to dissect cost/pricing requirements out of a Government Solicitation.
- Ability to work flexible hours when dictated by proposal deadlines
- Knowledge of different contracts, solicitation, and agreement types to include Time and Materials, Firm Fixed Price, and Cost Reimbursable contracts.
- Working knowledge of the FAR; ability to read and understand prime contracts
- Must be able to work well in a team-based environment.
