 Administer medications and injections as prescribed under supervision
 Assist in minor procedures (dressings, nebulisation, wound care)
 Maintain aseptic technique in all tasks
2. Diagnostics
 Collect and label samples (blood, swabs) under supervision; ensure proper specimen
handling and transport to lab
 Prepare patients for basic diagnostic procedures (X-ray, ECG setup)
 Maintain readiness of diagnostic equipment (BP monitors, ECG machine setup,
thermometer calibration).
 Prepare patients for radiology/diagnostic procedures (X-ray, USG, TMT, etc.)
3. Compliance and Documentation
 Record vitals, nursing notes, and administered treatments in EMR
 Maintain OPD registers and checklists as per clinic protocols
 Follow NABH standards on infection control, BMW segregation, and patient
confidentiality
 Report any incidents or equipment issues to Grade 2 or Senior Nurse immediately
4. Patient flow and coordination
 Escort patients between OPD, diagnostics, pharmacy, and rehab areas as directed
 Support preventive health check packages by ensuring patients complete all service
points
 Assist with appointment scheduling and patient reminders under guidance.
5. Patient Education
 Respond to basic patient or caregiver queries and escalate complex ones to Grade
2/Grade 1
 Reinforce simple instructions given by physicians
 Direct patients to the right department/staff for further queriesKey
