- Communicate effectively with design engineers, project managers, and quality teams.
- Attend internal design-review meetings and contribute to detailing strategy.
- Interpret structural drawings, load diagrams, and connection details.
- Create detailed 2D/3D structural steel models using software like Tekla Structures, SDS/2, or AutoCAD (as applicable).
- Prepare accurate shop drawings and GA drawings for:
- Main frames, columns, rafters, bracings, Secondary members (purlins, girts, eave struts)
- Connections and anchor bolt plans
- Sheeting profiles, trims, and flashing components
- Prepare complete layout and development details for roof and wall sheeting.
- Develop detailed flashing drawings including ridge caps, corner trims, fascia, gutters, and downspouts.
- Coordinate closely with architects/clients for interface detailing.
- Incorporate accessories like skylights, ventilators, and louvers with precision.
- Review and check detailing packages prepared by internal team or external detailing vendors.
