Server & Storage Support Engineer
Role Objective:
Ensure effective operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the organisation’s server and storage
infrastructure to deliver high availability and reliable performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain physical servers including OS installation, patching, and performance
tuning.
• Administer VMware environments (vSphere/ESXi), including provisioning VMs, snapshot
management, backup verification, and migration.
• Ensure backup completion and disaster recovery readiness, including participation in DR
drills.
• Monitor and manage SAN/NAS storage infrastructure (e.g., QSAN), ensuring proper
allocation, redundancy, and zoning.
• Implement and test storage replication and protection mechanisms.
• Act as Level-2 escalation for incidents impacting servers/storage.
• Document infrastructure changes, maintain server inventory, and update system
configurations.
Desired Profile:
• Graduate in IT/Computer Science or equivalent.
• 4–6 years of experience in server and storage administration.
• Strong knowledge of VMware, Windows/Linux server administration.
