automotive-grade requirements.
* Support tooling selection, die design, press setup, and process standardisation for gasket
production lines.
* Manage material specifications for graphite sheets, metal substrates, reinforcement materials,
coatings, and adhesives used in automotive gaskets.
Process Optimisation & Continuous Improvement
* Identify and implement improvements to reduce cycle time, scrap, and rework across graphite
gasket and DPF gasket production.
* Support tooling optimisation, die design feedback, and machining allowance standardisation.
* Implement best practices for material handling, sheet preparation, cutting, forming, and finishing
operations.
* Drive capacity planning and productivity improvement initiatives as production volumes scale.
* Troubleshoot production issues including dimensional drift, surface defects, material
inconsistency, and assembly fit problems.
Application Engineering & Product Knowledge
* Evaluate gasket performance based on temperature resistance, pressure rating, compressibility,
chemical compatibility, and vibration endurance relevant to automobile applications.
* Support application mapping for exhaust systems, DPF/emission systems, turbocharger
assemblies, engine sealing, and other automotive sub-systems.
* Build and maintain a product-application knowledge base: map gasket variants (DPF gaskets,
graphite exhaust gaskets, engineered gaskets, EGR joints, cylinder head joints, turbocharger
gaskets, manifold joints) to vehicle platforms and requirements of customers such as Dinex,
Automan, Fischer, Teconnex, Cummins, JCB, and similar manufacturers.
* Provide technical inputs to Sales on product feasibility, material selection, and application
suitability for customer enquiries from the automobile sector.
* Support go-to-market efforts by translating production capability into commercially relevant
product specifications and datasheets for automotive customers.Testing, Quality & Standards Compliance

leak testing, and endurance validation for automotive gaskets.
* Maintain awareness of and compliance with updated testing standards applicable to automotive
gaskets (ASTM, IS, EN, DIN) as per current industry norms.
* Ensure test reports, material certifications, and quality documentation meet automotive customer
and export market expectations.
* Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for internal defects and customer complaints.
* Maintain technical documentation, specifications, work instructions, and control plans.
* Support internal audits, customer audits, and automotive qualification programs.
Cross-Functional & Customer Coordination
* Work closely with Sales, Production, Quality, and R&D teams for product approvals and issue
resolution.
* Provide technical inputs during customer discussions, trials, and audits with automobile and
engine manufacturers such as Dinex, Automan, Fischer, Teconnex, Cummins, JCB, and similar
customers.
* Support new product development, cost reduction, and performance improvement initiatives.
Digital & AI-Enabled Working
* Use AI tools for test data analysis, documentation drafting, root cause brainstorming, and
productivity tracking.
* Leverage Excel, ERP, and digital dashboards for production reporting and analysis.
* Continuously upgrade skills in digital manufacturing and AI-based productivity tools.
