Territory Manager - B2C Automotive Sales (Lubricants/Engine oil)
Are you a results-driven sales professional with a passion for the automotive industry? We are looking for a highly motivated Territory Manager to join our team at Lubricants/Engine oil, based in Headquarters. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving our business growth, managing distributor relationships, and ensuring our products reach their full market potential.
This position is offered on the Randstad India Payroll. You will be responsible for executing sales strategies, coaching distributor teams, and maintaining strong relationships with our valued retail partners.
Responsibilities:
Meet and exceed sell-in/sell-out targets as outlined in the Distributor Business Plan (DBP).
Provide leadership in DSR target setting, monthly micro-planning, and weekly volume tracking to ensure consistent growth.
Optimize DSR territory coverage by performing rigorous mapping, geotagging outlets in the DMS, and adjusting routes for maximum efficiency.
Conduct regular market visits (at least 4 out of 6 days per week) to provide hands-on support to the DSR team and engage directly with retailers and workshops.
Focus on increasing Numeric Distribution (ND) by reactivating dormant accounts and onboarding new business accounts.
Maintain oversight of distributor inventory, service levels, and market outstanding balances.
Facilitate new DSR onboarding and conduct on-the-job training (OJT) to elevate team performance.
Collaborate with the Retail Activation Team to plan and drive demand generation activities such as mechanic engagements and local activations.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) or MBA is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of field-sales experience managing distributors. Prior experience in a B2C environment (lubricants, automotive spares, or batteries) is a significant advantage.
Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Language: Fluency in English and the local language pertaining to the city of deployment.
Mobility: Must possess a valid Indian driving license and a 4W motor vehicle/car in good condition. If you do not currently own a vehicle, procurement is required as this role involves daily field operations (mileage will be reimbursed based on business usage).
