Position: Unit Head - Grain-Based Ethanol Plant (Greenfield Project)
Location: Nellore, Andhra Pradesh
About the Opportunity
A leading player is setting up a state-of-the-art Grain-Based Ethanol Manufacturing Facility at Nellore, Andhra Pradesh.
We are looking for an experienced Unit Head to lead this project end-to-end from greenfield construction through commissioning, integration, and commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Construction: Drive greenfield project execution across civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, and utility works to ensure on-time delivery within quality and safety standards.
Commissioning & Operations: Lead pre-commissioning, trial runs, and plant startup; oversee full-scale commercial operations to achieve yield, recovery, quality, and efficiency targets.
Process Optimization: Optimize steam, power, and water consumption, as well as ethanol yield across all processing units.
Maintenance & Reliability: Implement robust preventive and predictive maintenance programs for asset reliability.
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with APPCB, PESO, Excise, Factory Act, Boiler Inspectorate, and Environmental Clearance norms.
Team Leadership: Build and mentor multi-disciplinary teams (Production, Maintenance, Safety, Utilities, Lab) and set up operational SOPs and KPIs.
Must-Have Qualifications & Experience
Education: B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Chemical Engineering (Degree/Diploma in Alcohol/Fermentation Technology or MBA is an added advantage).
Total Experience: 20 to 30 years in grain-based ethanol, distillery, alcohol, or biofuel manufacturing.
Leadership Experience: Minimum 10+ years in a senior leadership role (Unit Head, Plant Head, Operations Head, or Project Head).
Greenfield Expertise: Hands-on experience in executing and commissioning greenfield ethanol/distillery projects.
