Position Overview
To lead a high-performing Product Verification & Validation team for Construction Equipment, responsible for ensuring that all machines and components meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and safety. This role involves strategic leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver best-in-class products for global markets.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians.
- Foster a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear objectives, manage performance, and support professional development.
Product Testing & Validation
- Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of testing and validation activities for construction equipment (including but not limited to Backhoe Loaders, Excavators, Skid Steer loaders, and related attachments).
- Ensure comprehensive coverage of durability, reliability, regulatory compliance, environmental, and field performance tests.
- Develop and refine test protocols and standard operating procedures.
Project Management
- Coordinate testing schedules and resource allocation in alignment with product development timelines.
- Interface with design, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and support product launches.
- Manage test facilities, equipment, and budgets efficiently.
Stakeholder Communication
- Prepare and present test results, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior management and global stakeholders.
- Serve as the technical authority for validation topics in cross-functional project meetings.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance test methods, implement new technologies, and optimize validation workflows.
- Drive the implementation of digital tools, automation, and data analytics within the testing domain.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering.
- 15+ years of experience in product Verification and validation for heavy equipment (prior experience with construction equipment strongly preferred).
- At least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Deep understanding of testing standards, regulatory requirements, and validation processes for off-highway or industrial vehicles.
- Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., data acquisition systems, simulation tools, test management platforms).
Preferred Attributes
- Experience working in a global organization or with cross-cultural teams.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or quality systems (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001).
- Hands-on knowledge of field testing, prototype evaluation, and failure analysis.
