weld shop maintenance

• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance of robots such as Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Panasonic, and Yaskawa.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance of welding equipment, including MIG and Spot-Welding machines.
• Monitor and adjust welding parameters like voltage, current, wire feed speed, and gas flow.( Spot welding Parameters as well)
• Plan and execute major maintenance activities, including robot re-programming, torch replacement, and PLC Troubleshooting.
• Ensure proper calibration of welding robots Guns and fixtures to maintain weld quality and penetration.
• Improve welding parameters to enhance arc stability, quality, and energy efficiency.
• Maintain machine maintenance records, downtime logs, PM planning , TBM , CBM and breakdown history.
• Prepare reports on weld quality, defects, power consumption, and improvement activities.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure the availability of critical spares.
• Work on process improvement projects to increase welding efficiency and reduce cycle time.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to achieve production targets.
• Support TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement activities.

• Experience in Automotive Stamping, Sheet Metal, or Body-in-White (BIW) industry.
• Hands-on experience with welding robots such as Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Panasonic, and Yaskawa.
• Good knowledge of Spot Welding and MIG Welding processes.
• Knowledge of PLC systems such as Mitsubishi, Siemens, Delta, and Allen Bradley.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and other field devices.
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, CC-Link, and Device Net.
• Knowledge of weld quality improvement and defect reduction techniques.
• Basic understanding of TPM, RCA, 5 Why Analysis, and Kaizen.
• Experience in machine commissioning and automation projects will be an added advantage.
