The primary objective is to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant reporting in accordance with local GAAP, IFRS, and company policies, playing a critical role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.</p><p> </p>Key Responsibilities<p> </p><p> </p><h3>1. Month-End & Year-End Close Management</h3><p> </p><ul><li><p>Execute period-end close activities, including the preparation and posting of complex journals, accruals, prepayments, and provision calculations (e.g., inventory provisions, rebates, marketing accruals).</p></li><li><p>Ensure timely and accurate preparation of trial balances and general ledger maintenance for assigned EMEA entities.</p></li><li><p>Perform intercompany reconciliations and manage intercompany transactions, ensuring elimination for consolidated reporting.</p></li></ul><p> </p><h3>2. General Ledger and Balance Sheet Integrity</h3><p> </p><ul><li><p>Perform detailed and complex balance sheet account reconciliations (e.g., Bank, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, VAT, and other General Ledger accounts).</p></li><li><p>Investigate and resolve all reconciling items promptly, ensuring the accuracy and validity of reported balances.</p></li><li><p>Manage the Fixed Asset lifecycle, including additions, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliation of the Fixed Asset Register.</p></li></ul><p> </p><h3>3. Process Improvement and Standardization</h3><p> </p><ul><li><p>Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency improvements within the RTR processes, particularly leveraging ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial tools (e.g., BlackLine).</p></li><li><p>Develop, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all key RTR activities to ensure consistency and knowledge retention across the team.</p></li><li><p>Participate in finance transformation and system enhancement projects.</p></li></ul><p> </p><h3>5. Stakeholder Management</h3><p> </p><ul><li><p>Collaborate effectively with local finance teams in EMEA, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth end-to-end process flow.</p></li><li><p>Address ad-hoc queries from local management and corporate finance regarding financial results and balance sheet movements.</p></li></ul><p> </p>Qualifications and Experience<p> </p><p> </p><h3>Analyst: (Typically 2–4 years of relevant experience)</h3><p> </p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</p></li><li><p>2-4 years of experience in the Record to Report function, preferably within a Shared Service or Global Business Services environment.</p></li><li><p>Solid understanding of General Ledger accounting and period-end closing procedures.</p></li></ul><p> </p><h3>Senior Analyst: (Typically 4–7 years of relevant experience)</h3><p> </p><ul><li><p>All of the above, plus:</p></li><li><p>4-7 years of extensive experience in a complex RTR environment, ideally within the FMCG or a similar multinational sector.</p></li><li><p>Part-qualification (or equivalent experience) of a professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA).</p></li></ul><p> </p><h3>Required Skills</h3><p> </p><ul><li><p>In-depth knowledge of IFRS and/or a major EMEA local GAAP.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in a major ERP system (SAP is Mandatory).</p></li><li><p>Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Data Analysis).</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.</p></li></ul>  <p> </p><h3>experience</h3>6
