The Consulate General of Sweden in Mumbai is looking for Accounts Assistant
- Responsible for the overall finance function, including cash management and bank transactions.
- Responsible for procurement and purchasing of goods and services in accordance with regulations.
- Perform ongoing bookkeeping, including:
- Monthly financial reporting to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs (UD)
- Funds management and preparation of payment orders
- Goods and Services Tax (GST) return filing
- Liaison with banks and financial institutions
- Assist the Head of Accounting with financial administration and budget follow-up.
- Coordinate with local authorities, customs, recruitment agencies, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Secondhand responsibility for the administrative assistant, including handling simple consular matters, local mail handling, visitor and program coordination and communication with the public and government authorities.
- Any other duties as decided by the Head of Mission
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in accounting/bookkeeping and financial administration.
- Excellent computer skills; proficiency in accounting and HR software.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Hindi; knowledge of Swedish and Marathi is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
