Role Purpose & Summary:
• Coordinate with the Director of Finance to align financial practices with strategic goals
and ensure effective financial governance for all Group companies including
subsidiaries and joint ventures
• Oversee and manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and ...

• Lead the finance and accounting team, ensuring adherence to internal controls /
regulatory requirements.
• Support in implementing approved financial strategies (Optimise Cost of funds) for
company's growth and operational efficiency

profitability and cost
Roles & responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
• Implement 3-Year Strat Plan of the Function, aligned to the Group 3-Year Strat Plan and
Implement Annual Operating Plan (AOP) of the Function, aligned to Group AOP and
accountability to deliver to the required outcomes
• Lead financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure
alignment with business goals
Build the Finance and Accounts Organization and Team:
• Propose review the organization structure, Roles and design for the Function and align it
to Strat Plan/ AOP requirements
• Implement Balanced Score Card (BSC) of the HoDs - 1 of the Function.
• Manage employee engagement, performance management, learning & development of
own team.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance,
collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Financial Management, Reporting, and Process Optimization:
• Review, define and recommend Accounting and Finance Manual, policies for Director
Approval and release.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve financial processes, policies, controls
and SOPs, including the maintenance of an Accounting Manual to ensure standardization
and compliance and safeguard company’s assets.
• Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors, ensuring the integrity
of financial data.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and management reports, ensuring
accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory
requirements as per defined Close Calendar.
• Manage all regulatory and Tax related liaison and resolution of any demand/ notices and
assessment through appropriate representation to relevant tax/ regulatory authorities.
• Support in Treasury related recommendations and necessary documentation including
Banking relationships and Drive CAPEX Process accounting.
• Review, assess and advise Director – Finance & Accounts and Business council on
Financial Hedging, Forex Exposure and Metals Hedging related gain/ loss analysis and
actions.
Operational Finance, Cost Management, and Process Efficiency:
• Setup Product Cost and Management Accounting and review processes for continuous
cost optimization/ Business forecast and Action planning
• Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, providing regular updates to
the executive team.
• Ensure effective cash flow management, including overseeing treasury functions,
working capital, and liquidity management.
• Drive digital finance transformation initiatives to improve financial processes and data
analytics capabilities, including the implementation of new technologies such as ERP
systems, AI, and automation tools.
Corporate Development, M&A and Risk Management:
• Support Director for all Strategic initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, joint
ventures, and strategic partnerships with Due diligence, valuation analysis and
integration planning for potential acquisitions or divestitures.
• Implement Financial and Capital risk management policies, procedures, processes and
controls.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage financial risks, including currency, interest rate,
Procurement risks and credit risks.
• Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international financial regulations,
including tax, reporting, and financial standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Minimum B.com graduate and a qualified CA.
• Qualified CS and MBA in Finance is desirable.
• Typical role requires a professional experience of ~15-18 years in Industrial productsManufacturing organization. Atleast 5-7 years as Head of Finance & Accounts in mid-
sized company (Rs 4000 Cr +).
