Position: Deputy General Manager (DGM) Post Order Management

Role Summary:
The DGM—Post-Order Management will be responsible for managing all post-order execution activities related to marine and naval equipment. This includes cross-functional coordination, supplier and vendor management, quality compliance, documentation, and inspection planning. The role ensures that project execution aligns with technical specifications, delivery timelines, and quality standards, especially for projects involving the Indian Navy and Coast Guard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Kick-off & Execution Planning
- Analyse customer contracts, specifications, and order documents.
- Conduct internal kick-off meetings with cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules and milestone plans.
- Execution Monitoring
- Track procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and readiness for delivery.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely execution of tasks.
- Identify and mitigate risks or delays in project activities.
- Vendor / Supplier Management
- Manage supplier relationships for outsourced manufacturing and bought-out items.
- Monitor vendor timelines, technical compliance, and quality performance.
- Ensure QAP adherence, inspection readiness, and resolution of vendor issues.
- Quality, Inspections & Documentation
- Plan and coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and third-party inspections.
- Ensure timely submission of technical documentation, FAT protocols, and compliance certificates.
- Maintain strict adherence to naval quality standards (DGQA, IRS, ABS, etc.).
- Dispatch Coordination & Project Closure
- Oversee logistics, packaging, and dispatch processes.
- Facilitate handover to commissioning and service teams.
- Lead closure documentation, feedback collection, and execution review.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or Production Engineering
- Highly Preferred: MBA / Management Course from a Tier I/II Institution or PMP Certification
- Experience: 10 – 14 years of relevant experience in post-order execution for marine/naval equipment, with proven involvement in projects for the Indian Navy, Coast Guard, or shipbuilding sector
- Key Competencies:
- Strong leadership and coordination capabilities
- Expertise in vendor management and outsourced production workflows
- Familiarity with naval/defense project execution requirements and documentation
- Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera, ERP tools, and MSOffice
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a high-stakes environment
