Job Summary: The Operations Head will be responsible for end-to-end operations of the manufacturing unit, ensuring seamless production, maintenance, quality control, and on-time delivery. The role requires leadership in driving operational efficiency, reducing waste, improving productivity, and maintaining product quality to meet customer and market demands. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Management ○ Plan, organize, and oversee daily manufacturing operations (Tape line, Looms, Lamination, etc.). ○ Ensure achievement of production targets, productivity, and machine utilization. ○ Minimize downtime and rejections by implementing preventive measures. 2. Operational Efficiency ○ Drive lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and cost reduction initiatives. ○ Monitor and optimize energy usage, raw material consumption, and labor efficiency. 3. Maintenance & Machinery ○ Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules are followed for all machinery. ○ Coordinate with maintenance teams to improve machine uptime and performance. 4. Quality Assurance ○ Implement and monitor quality systems to ensure defect-free products. ○ Ensure adherence to customer specifications, ISO standards, and statutory norms. 5. Manpower Planning & ManagementLead, motivate, and manage production and factory workforce. ○ Ensure proper training, discipline, and safety compliance on the shop floor. 6. Supply Chain & Inventory ○ Coordinate with the procurement, stores, and planning departments for timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and spares. ○ Optimize inventory levels and material handling processes. 7. Logistics & Dispatch ○ Oversee timely dispatch and loading of finished goods as per customer schedules. ○ Coordinate with logistics partners for smooth transportation and documentation. 8. Reporting & MIS ○ Generate daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports on production, quality, downtime, wastage, etc. ○ Present performance reviews and improvement plans to top management. 9. Compliance & Safety ○ Ensure compliance with statutory norms like Factory Act, EHS standards, laws, etc. ○ Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits and training. 10. Strategic Initiatives ○ Participate in capex planning, technology upgradation, and process automation. ○ Drive innovation to improve product quality and reduce turnaround time. Qualifications & Experience: ● Education: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Textile, or Plastic Engineering ● Experience: Minimum 12–15 years in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in woven sack, tarpaulin industry
