Job Summary
The Housekeeping Worker is responsible for the daily hands-on cleaning and maintaining of assigned areas to ensure a spotless, hygienic, and welcoming environment. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean, dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in assigned rooms, corridors, and common areas.
- Wash, scrub, and sanitize bathrooms, toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish towels and toiletries.
- Empty trash cans, replace liners, and dispose of waste safely and hygienically.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
2. Inventory & Equipment Care
- Restock cleaning carts at the start and end of every shift.
- Monitor and report shortages of cleaning supplies or guest amenities to the supervisor.
- Handle and maintain cleaning equipment (like vacuums and floor buffers) safely and report any malfunctions.
3. Guest Service & Communication
- Respond politely and promptly to guest or staff requests for extra items (e.g., pillows, towels, soap).
- Respect the privacy of guests or employees and handle personal property with care.
- Immediately report any damages, maintenance issues (like leaky faucets or broken lights), or safety hazards to the supervisor
