HRIS Analyst (Workday Focus) — 2–4 Years Experience
About the Role
We’re looking for an early-career HRIS Analyst with hands-on Workday experience (or similar HRIS) to support configuration, testing, reporting, and day-to-day operations. You’ll partner with People/HR, Talent, Payroll, and IT to improve processes, deliver accurate data, and ship enhancements on a regular cadence.
What You’ll Do
Configuration: Build and update Workday business processes, condition rules, security groups, domains, and notifications; support tenant configuration across Core HCM and one or more modules (e.g., Absence, Time Tracking, Talent, or Compensation).
Reporting & Analytics: Create custom reports (advanced, matrix, composite), calculated fields, dashboards, and scheduled report distributions; ensure data quality and audit readiness.
Testing: Own test planning and execution (unit, regression, UAT); write test cases, log/track defects, and coordinate sign-off for biannual releases and enhancements.
Integrations & Data Loads: Run EIB templates, support file-based interfaces, troubleshoot errors, and partner with integration engineers for fixes and improvements.
Support & Enablement: Triage tickets, resolve break/fix issues, document SOPs/job aids, and train HR users on new features and best practices.
Compliance & Governance: Maintain data accuracy, security, and controls (SOX-aligned where applicable); contribute to audit responses and access reviews.
Roadmap Execution: Translate business requirements into configured solutions; manage small projects end-to-end with clear timelines, risks, and communications.
What You’ll Bring
2–4 years in a Workday functional role or comparable experience in HRIS such as Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, UKG, Dayforce, or BambooHR.
Practical skill with Workday Report Writer and calculated fields; comfort with EIBs and business process configuration.
Experience writing test cases and running UAT; familiarity with release management.
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivots); basics of SQL a plus.
Clear, concise communicator who can translate tech details for non-technical partners.
Organized, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Nice to Have
Exposure to additional modules (Advanced Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, Absence/Time).
Workday Pro, Workday certification(s), or vendor-specific HRIS training.
Experience with JIRA/Confluence (or similar), and basic API/flat-file integration concepts.
Knowledge of data privacy, security, and audit practices (e.g., SOX, GDPR).
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, HR, Business, or related field.
