Role Description
Lead the piping design team for oil and gas EPC projects, responsible for designing and developing piping systems using 3D modelling software.
- Develop and review project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Develop Plot Plan and Equipment Layout.
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and identify project requirements.
- Design and develop piping systems using 3D modelling software (e.g., AutoCAD Plant 3D, PDMS). Model Review and Tag closure with the customers.
- Create and manage 3D models, including piping layouts, pipe sizing, and valve and fitting selection.
- Perform piping stress analysis and support design using software like CEASAR-II. Generation of Loading Data for Civil/Structural disciplines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process, mechanical, civil, structural and E&I disciplines.
- Manage and review design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for material procurement and construction.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API)
- Review of P&ID’s.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 20+ years of experience in piping design for oil and gas EPC projects.
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, industry standards, and regulations.
- Advanced skills in 3D modelling software (e.g., AutoCAD Plant 3D, PDMS).
- Experience with piping stress analysis and support design software.
