Purpose:
To proactively monitor, analyze, and support strategic planning for current and future automotive regulations and government policies impacting the ICE and EV portfolio. The role will be responsible for identifying regulatory risks and opportunities, developing compliance and business countermeasure strategies, and representing the company's interests through active engagement with industry associations and government bodies.
Key responsibilities
Regulatory & Policy Monitoring :
- Track emerging automotive regulations and government policies impacting ICE, EV, and future mobility products.
- Assess business and product portfolio impact from a strategic perspective.
Compliance Readiness Assessment :
- Evaluate long-term readiness for key regulations such as CAFC, BS7, BNCAP, ADAS, and HMI etc.-related requirements.
- Support alignment of product roadmaps with upcoming compliance needs.
Regulatory Strategy & Countermeasures :
- Analyze regulatory risks and opportunities and develop compliance strategies in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Support implementation of regulatory requirements across product and powertrain portfolios.
Policy Impact Analysis :
- Monitor policies related to EV, HEV, CNG, FFV, and other products/Technologies.
- Identify business opportunities/threats and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
Industry & Government Engagement :
- Participate in SIAM committees and regulatory forums.
- Provide strategic feedback to industry associations and government bodies while representing Hyundai's interests.
Management Reporting :
- Prepare regulatory updates, impact assessments, and strategic recommendations for leadership review.
Strategic Product Assessment :
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and monitor market trends to assess implications for Hyundai's product portfolio and regulatory preparedness.
- Support portfolio planning by evaluating the impact of regulatory, policy, and sustainability developments on future product offerings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between regulatory requirements, business objectives, and product plans.
