Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Production Officer to join the dynamic team at Axalta's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Savli, Vadodara. The successful candidate will be on the payroll of Randstad India and will be responsible for overseeing and managing production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. This role is critical in the manufacturing of high-performance coatings and requires a hands-on approach to production management.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Supervision: Supervise day-to-day production activities on the shop floor, ensuring adherence to the production schedule and output targets.
Process Management: Monitor and control manufacturing processes to maintain product quality and consistency as per Axalta's global standards.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Control department to ensure raw materials and finished products meet stringent quality specifications. Implement and monitor in-process quality checks.
Safety and Compliance: Enforce and promote a culture of safety, ensuring all production activities comply with company and statutory health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of operators and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to optimize performance.
Resource Management: Manage the allocation of manpower, machinery, and materials effectively to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, including batch manufacturing records, and prepare regular reports on production output, downtime, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Paint Technology, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred. A diploma in a relevant technical field with substantial experience will also be considered.
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the paint, coatings, or chemical industry.
Technical Knowledge: Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control principles. Familiarity with batch manufacturing is highly desirable.
Safety Focus: In-depth knowledge of industrial safety standards and practices.
