<p>Purchasing Analyst</p><p>StP Global Tail Spend<br /><br />Supports the DOW tail spend Source to Pay team by optimizing the company’s tail spend categories through cost-saving opportunities, improving supplier relationships, and ensuring efficient procurement processes for low-value and non-strategic tail spend purchases.<br />In this role, your expertise will help drive operational efficiency and deliver value across direct/indirect procurement categories<br /><br />Responsibilities – Duties, projects, tasks, and activities Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for in this role<br />Conduct spend analysis, maintain reports, and perform research to support category plans, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.<br />Manage and optimize tail spend procurement, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and consolidation of suppliers.<br />Collaborate with the procurement and sourcing teams to implement best practices, tools, and strategies that enhance tail spend control and visibility.<br />Streamline the procurement process through automation, standardization, and use of digital tools (SAP Ariba)<br />Liaise with internal stakeholders like Regional Sourcing managers and Requisitioners to understand purchasing needs and ensure alignment of tail spend management with broader procurement strategies.<br />Support the roll-out of tail spend management strategies across business units, ensuring alignment with overall procurement and sourcing objectives.<br />Develop Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, coordinate supplier Requests for Information (RFIs), analyze supplier responses, and facilitate negotiations and selection processes.<br />Pre-qualify suppliers and evaluate vendor quotations using effective negotiation and purchasing analysis techniques<br />Enhance the purchasing experience for end customers by suggesting enhancements to catalogs<br />Ensure the procurement of goods and services in tail spend categories meets company quality, compliance, and cost expectations<br />Manage and consolidate supplier base, promoting supplier rationalization and reduction of rogue spending.<br /><br /><br />Qualifications<br />Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.<br />3-5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a strong focus on indirect categories and tail spend.<br />Familiarity with Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes, procurement tools, and tail spend management strategies.<br />Proficiency in Microsoft office (MS Word, Power Point, Microsoft Excel etc)<br />Hands on experience of procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba), ERP systems is a plus<br />Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.<br /><br />Preferred Skills<br />Exposure to Chemical Industry or other manufacturing companies<br />Experience working in a Centre of Excellence or cross-functional procurement team is an advantage.</p><h3>experience</h3>5
