Job Purpose
The R2R Associate is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger (GL) through timely recording of financial transactions, performing reconciliations, and supporting the month-end closing process. You will serve as a bridge between day-to-day accounting and corporate financial reporting.Key Responsibilities
1. General Ledger & Journal Entries
- Prepare and post routine and non-routine Journal Entries (Accruals, Prepayments, Reclassifications).
- Maintain and update the General Ledger to ensure all transactions are captured accurately.
- Manage Fixed Asset Accounting, including capitalization, depreciation runs, and disposals.
2. Month-End & Year-End Closing
- Execute month-end closing activities according to the global financial calendar.
- Perform Intercompany Reconciliations (IC) and resolve discrepancies with global counterparts.
- Assist in the preparation of Trial Balances and preliminary financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet).
3. Reconciliations & Compliance
- Perform Balance Sheet Reconciliations (Bank, GL, and Sub-ledgers) and investigate open items.
- Ensure adherence to SOX controls and internal accounting policies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary schedules and documentation.
4. Reporting & Analysis
Prepare Flux Analysis (Month-over-Month/Quarter-over-Quarter) to explain significant variances.
Generate ad-hoc financial reports for management and stakeholders.
