We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Recruitment Specialist to join our HR team in Thiruvallur. In this role, you will drive end-to-end bulk and volume hiring to meet our plant's operational demands. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience sourcing, screening, and onboarding large batches of technical trainees and apprentices under the NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Volume & Bulk Hiring: Execute end-to-end mass recruitment drives to meet weekly and monthly plant manpower targets.
- Trainee & NAPS Management: Source, select, and onboard ITI, Diploma, and Graduate trainees. Manage the documentation and compliance requirements specifically for NAPS and various trainee schemes.
- Sourcing Strategy: Utilize local sourcing channels, including ITI/Diploma colleges, skill development centers, local job fairs, vendors, and community networks in and around Thiruvallur.
- Screening & Selection: Conduct initial screening, physical verification checks, and coordinate technical/line manager interviews on the shop floor.
- Onboarding & Documentation: Complete background verification, medical check coordination, and joining formalities for bulk batches to ensure a seamless transition into the plant.
- Data & Reporting: Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly recruitment trackers (turnout ratios, offer-to-joining ratios, and sourcing channel effectiveness).
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum 6 months of core experience in bulk/volume hiring within a manufacturing plant or factory environment.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid understanding of NAPS guidelines, apprentice portals, and trainee hiring frameworks.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Tamil is mandatory (for local candidate interaction), along with manageable English for internal reporting.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills, high energy, resilience to handle tight hiring deadlines, and excellent relationship-building skills.
