Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety protocols for blast furnace operations and steel plant construction activities.
- Conduct rigorous site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations.
- Manage and mitigate risks associated with high-temperature furnace operations and heavy machinery utilization.
- Lead safety training programs for staff and contractors to cultivate a culture of prevention and site awareness.
- Coordinate emergency response planning and lead incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all construction and operational procedures align with industry-standard safety codes and internal company policies.
- Provide expert guidance to project management teams regarding safety compliance during complex engineering phases.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of safety performance metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- 6 to 12 years of professional experience in the steel sector, with a proven track record in safety management.
- Extensive practical knowledge of safety requirements in construction and blast furnace environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex operational risks.
- Excellent communication skills to lead safety briefings and interact with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to maintain a professional and formal approach to site safety enforcement.
