Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and enforce compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments of plant operations and equipment.
Investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure all staff are trained in emergency protocols.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, and corrective actions.
Ensure availability and proper usage of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and orientation sessions for new employees and contractors.
Collaborate with department heads to incorporate safety measures into operational procedures.
Report unsafe acts or conditions and work proactively to eliminate hazards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP), NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a safety role within a manufacturing or industrial plant.
