Job Title: Store Incharge Plant
Department: Store / SCM Department
Location: Gujarat Plant, Bharuch
Education & Experience: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech with 8 years of relevant experience in Stores / Warehouse / Inventory Management, preferably in Structural Steel Fabrication, Steel, Heavy Engineering or Manufacturing industry.
Key responsibilities
Critical Competencies Required (Knowledge/Skill/Attitude) :
- Ensure timely material issuance to Production, Fabrication, Maintenance and Projects while maintaining accurate inventory and project-wise records.
- Monitor stock levels, physical verification, reconciliation, slow/non-moving inventory and material shortages.
- Maintain accurate SAP/ERP transactions, material records and MIS reports, coordinating with PPC, Production and Purchase for material availability.
General Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming materials for quantity, specifications, documentation and quality inspection.
- Process GRN/MRN and maintain accurate SAP/ERP, bin cards and stock records.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, segregation and traceability of steel, consumables, welding materials, paints and chemicals.
- Issue materials against approved Material Requisitions/Work Orders and track consumption against production/project requirements.
- Coordinate with PPC, Production, Quality and Projects for material availability and movement.
- Conduct periodic stock verification, reconcile discrepancies and maintain records of rejected, damaged, returned and surplus materials.
- Ensure 5S, housekeeping, safety compliance and timely inventory/MIS reporting to management.
Major Deliverables/Key Result Areas:
- Manage day-to-day plant stores and warehouse operations.
- Monitor minimum / maximum stock levels and identify potential stock-outs.
- Maintain proper records of rejected damage, surplus and returned materials.
- Ensure timely issue of materials to Fabrication, Production, Maintenance and Projects against authorized material requisitions.
