Job Description: Head of HR / Director - HR (GCC Operations)

Industry Focus: Global Capability Centers (GCC) / Technology Captains with roots in IT Services, and Global Manufacturing/Retail.
Job Purpose
We are seeking a strategic, technology-oriented, and people-centric HR Leader to head our HR functions (excluding L&D) and orchestrate our next phase of growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of transitioning talent from IT Services to a high-performing GCC environment, scaling operations seamlessly, and driving organizational culture. This role requires a robust understanding of HR compliance, talent acquisition, and workforce transition strategies to directly impact organizational profitability.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR Leadership & Scale-up
- GCC Growth: Partner with executive leadership to scale up GCC operations in Chennai, linking HR metrics directly to organizational profitability.
- Culture & Transformation: Foster a growth-minded, high-performance culture that balances a strong technology orientation with a deeply people-centric approach.
- Organizational Design: Oversee HR Business Partnering (HRBP) and generalist functions across the board, excluding Learning & Development.
2. Workforce Transition & Talent Acquisition
- Talent Migration: Lead complex workforce transitions, people transfers, and large-scale talent acquisition strategies.
- Volume Hiring: Effectively oversee varied recruitment methodologies, including walk-in drives and targeted tech-hiring campaigns.
- GCC Transitioning: Utilize deep industry knowledge to successfully attract and integrate talent migrating from traditional IT Service organizations into a GCC framework.
3. Performance & Talent Management
- Framework Implementation: Drive end-to-end Performance Management Systems using modern frameworks.
- Succession Planning: Demonstrate mastery of the 9-Box Performance Grid (Performance/Potential Matrix) to identify key talent, map succession plans, and manage underperformance effectively.
4. Regulatory, Audit & Compliance
- Risk Mitigation: Ensure 100% adherence to local, national, and international employment laws and statutory regulations.
- Audit Readiness: Own and lead internal and external HR audit processes, establishing airtight documentation and compliance workflows.

Industry Background
Mandatory experience in GCC / GIC setups, with a proven history of migrating from IT Service organizations to GCCs.
Sector Exposure
Core tech/GCC background is preferred. Candidates from Manufacturing and Retail sectors will be considered only if they have extensive global organization experience.
Technical Mindset
Strong technology orientation; ability to leverage data analytics and modern HR tools for decision-making.
