Job Title: Manager - HR Compliance
The Manager - HR Compliance s ensures full adherence to national and state labor laws, workplace compliance mandates, and corporate legal requirements across all branches. This role serves as the primary bridge between Legal, Human Resources, and Internal Audit to manage labor litigation, employment contracts, policy vetting, and statutory audit closures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Labor Law Compliance & Workplace Governance
- Ensure pan-organization adherence to state and central labor laws, statutory compliances, and workplace regulations across all office locations.
- Partner with HR to draft, vet, and continuously update employment contracts, third-party workforce agreements, and non-disclosure contracts to ensure full legal alignment.
- Support internal audit teams by identifying compliance gaps, resolving legal audit findings, and maintaining necessary documentation and proof of adherence.
- Create standard legal templates and procedures for HR processes, including show-cause notices, disciplinary documentation, and absconding employee cases.
2. Employment & Corporate Litigation Management
- Track, review, and manage all labor and corporate cases filed by or against the company across all branches.
- Maintain a comprehensive litigation database documenting case details, hearing history, and legal proceedings.
- Coordinate directly with external legal counsel, advocates, and solicitors to prepare case materials and draft strategic responses.
3. Contract Vetting & Legal Notices
- Assist in drafting and vetting corporate and vendor contracts to mitigate legal risks and ensure appropriate terms of service.
- Collate inputs from HR, Business Units, and Department Heads to draft responses to legal notices issued to or by the organization.
- Review and finalize notice responses through functional leadership before formal dispatch.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate law, labor law compliance, and litigation management within a similar corporate environment.
- Knowledge: Deep expertise in statutory labor compliances, employment laws, and company law.
- Skills: Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Learning Agility: Active commitment to ongoing professional development and adopting new legal tech tools/methods.
