About the role
The L3 ERP Developer supports the design, build, and maintenance of SAP developments across the SAP S/4HANA ecosystem.
The role contributes technical capability to the delivery of secure and sustainable solutions under the guidance of senior developers and the development lead, helping support business operations while protecting core system integrity.
The DSC ERP Developer works within approved development standards, lifecycle processes, and change governance to support reliable delivery and minimise risk to system stability and compliance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develops and supports custom solutions on S/4HANA and the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) under guidance and in line with approved designs and standards.
Contributes to the quality and integrity of assigned custom developments, including WRICEFS and BTP applications.
Contributes to quality assessments and reviews to ensure compliance with development standards, processes, and clean core principles.
Supports and coordinates development activities through to successful deployment to production.
Ensure system stability by ensuring the development lifecycle is followed and functional changes are tested effectively to ensure minimal business disruption.
Adheres to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and development processes to support compliance and audit requirements.
Supports Change Management activities for custom developments and participates in Change Advisory Board processes as required.
Applies and adheres to approved tools, coding standards, development principles, and artefacts to ensure compliance with clean core standards.
Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years of experience in providing technical programming support for SAP and supporting systems.
* Experience contributing to SAP S/4HANA ABAP and BTP (CAP/RAP) developments that support SAP functional processes and data flows.
* Experience using source control platforms (e.g. GitHub or equivalent) to manage code in accordance with approved development and security standards.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a development team and learn from senior developers.
* Working knowledge of one or more ERP functional areas (e.g. Finance, Procurement, Logistics, Asset Management).
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
* Bachelor's degree in Business Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
