- Manage APQP-based part development activities including PPAP and ECN implementation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Design, Quality, Production, Purchase) and suppliers.
- Oversee tooling development, mold trials, sample validation, and dimensional inspections.
- Prepare and maintain project plans, trackers, risk assessments, and status reports.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements, and quality tools.
- Handle supplier reviews, customer technical discussions, and audit support.
- Drive root cause analysis and issue resolution during trials and production readiness.
Job Description
Qualification and Experience
Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Polymer, Plastics, or related engineering discipline.
10–15 years of experience in automotive plastic/rubber part development or project management.
Prior experience in the automotive industry is mandatory/preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, ECN, DFMEA, PFMEA
Understanding of Injection molding, Rubber molding/extrusion, Plastic extrusion
Tooling knowledge: molds, dies, fixtures, gauges
Ability to read engineering drawings with GD&T
CAD familiarity (CATIA / NX / SolidWorks)
Strong project management, problem-solving, and supplier coordination skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project
