Job Summary:
- Monitor production schedules for Gear Cutting Machines (like Hobbing, Shaping, and Shaving ) as per planning department inputs.
- Allocate machines and manpower efficiently to meet daily output targets.
- Monitor and control cycle times, tool life, and machine utilization.
- Ensure adherence to quality requirements such as module, pressure angle, tooth profile, runout, and surface finish.
- Prepare root cause analysis of defects.
- Maintain rejection records and initiate corrective actions for any quality deviation.
- Oversee correct installation and setting of hobs, shaper cutters, and shaving cutters.
- Report daily shift production output and issues to Production Head.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and work instructions at each workstation.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety norms and proper use of PPE.
- Participate in improvement initiatives like Kaizen, TPM, and Lean Manufacturing projects.
Qualification – Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering.
Experience - 10 to 12 years in a gear manufacturing environment, and presently working as Section Incharge.
