Roles and Responsibilities:
The CFO will be responsible for leading the overall finance and governance function of company and ensuring robust financial systems, governance standards, compliance frameworks, and strategic financial planning across the organization.
a) Strategic Financial Leadership
· Partner with the CEO and leadership team in strategic planning, financial decision-making, and institutional growth initiatives.
· Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company's long-term vision, operational goals, and sustainability objectives.
· Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions.
· Drive annual budgeting, long-term financial planning, forecasting, and financial modelling .
· Monitor organizational financial health, cash flows, and capital allocation to ensure financial stability and growth.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
b) Finance & Accounting Operations
· Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, reconciliations, statutory filings, and management information systems (MIS).
· Maintain strong internal financial controls, accounting standards, and reporting frameworks.
· Drive financial discipline and operational efficiency through structured review mechanisms and data-driven decision making.
c) Audit, Compliance, Legal & Secretarial
· Ensure full compliance with statutory, legal, regulatory, taxation, and corporate governance requirements including Section 8 company regulations.
· Lead internal audits, statutory audits, compliance reviews, and risk management initiatives.
· Oversee secretarial and legal matters including Board governance, contracts, agreements, and regulatory documentation.
· Coordinate effectively with auditors, legal advisors, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities.
d) Fundraising, Grants & Financial Sustainability
· Lead fundraising efforts by seeking out CSR funding opportunities.
· Build and manage relationships with funding agencies, CSR partners, donors, financial institutions, and government bodies.
· Oversee grant management, utilization tracking, reporting, and compliance.
· Drive cost optimization and ROI-based decision-making while maintaining operational effectiveness.
e) Board Governance & Stakeholder Management
· Support the CEO and Board in financial governance, strategic reviews, and institutional decision-making.
· Prepare and present financial reports, board notes, dashboards, and business insights to the Board and leadership team.
· Manage interactions with Board members, auditors, investors, donors, government agencies, and external stakeholders.
f) Leadership & Culture
· Build and mentor a strong finance, compliance, and governance team.
· Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
· Drive process improvements, automation, and operational excellence across functions.
