The EHS & Sustainability Manager will be responsible for anchoring shop floor safety, ensuring 100% statutory environmental and legal compliance (MPCB, Factories Act, ISO), and driving the company's corporate sustainability roadmap (BRSR, Zero Waste to Landfill). The ideal candidate will blend rigorous operational oversight with strategic corporate reporting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Shop Floor Safety & Culture Development
Lead the implementation of HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) across all manufacturing lines and processes.
Drive a proactive Safety Culture Development program, moving the plant toward zero accidents through toolbox talks, safety behavior audits, and near-miss tracking.
Systematically manage managerial safety non-compliance issues using root-cause analysis (RCA) and progressive behavioral correction frameworks.
Establish emergency response protocols, safety drills, and continuous training matrices for plant staff and contractual laborers.
2. Environmental Compliance & Plant Operations (MPCB)
Take complete ownership of MPCB compliance, including timely applications and renewals for CTO (Consent to Establish) and CTOp (Consent to Operate).
Oversee the efficient operations of the STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) and ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant), ensuring treated parameters strictly adhere to board standards.
Ensure accurate and on-time annual filings, including Form V (Environmental Statement), Form 4 (Hazardous Waste), and water cess returns.
Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspectors, Factory Act auditors, and external ISO auditors.
3. Corporate Sustainability & ESG Reporting
Own data aggregation and compilation for BRSR (Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting) and annual corporate sustainability reports.
Lead the plant's roadmap toward Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWL) by optimizing waste segregation, recycling, and finding co-processing avenues for hazardous waste.
Maintain, audit, and improve plant standards for ISO 14001 (EMS) and ISO 45001 (OHSMS).
Track and execute carbon footprint, water footprint, and energy reduction initiatives to meet corporate sustainability goals.
