Role and Responsibilities
L2 Support ownership of all hosting products (cpanel /plesk /vps /cloud /dedicated)
Handling basic escalations and escalating to l3 if required.
Handle all tickets with good efficiency and building good repo with clientele
Follow ITIL Process according to organization perspective

coordinate with internal teams to speed resolution upon escalations
Work on tickets assigned and ensure tickets meet acknowledgement and resolution SLAs.
Ensure correct resolution is provided to the customer.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Application Protocols: Excellent understanding of SMTP, HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP.
Applications: Exim, Apache (mod_php, mod_fcgid, CGI, php-fpm etc)
Databases: Basic understanding of - Basics of MySQL Administration & Tweaking
Knowledge of bash shell scripting.
Knowledge in load balancer configuration.
Caching knowledge using varnish, memcache is plus
Knowledge on Firewall/Networking Protocols ( TCP/UDP/ICMP )
basic understanding of cms ( wordpress/joomla/drupal/magento etc..), installation/migration &
basic tweaking
Good experience in handling the Logical volume management( LVM)
Creating new partitions and mounting the partitions.
Experience on User Management on Linux.
Experience in creation of users and assigning groups to users.
Configuring vmtools on virtual machines.
Involved in virtual machine capacity management - adding virtual disks, configuring CPU, memory
capacity from Vsphere client.
LVM and NFS administration.
Having good exposure in configuring YUM repositories, patching the systems using YUM utility.
Experience in Kernel and upgrades, updating minor versions of RHEL systems
Troubleshooting on issues belongs to virtual servers on vmware platform.
Carry out the scheduled activities like Patch management using YUM, Log file rotation, Cron and
At jobs.
Virtual server capacity management using Vcenter server.
Have hand on experience working with service desk ticket tool and handling Incident, request,
problem, Change management activities to resolve with in the defined SLA.
Plan/Schedule/co-ordinate and implement critical changes
Analysis of server performance and Performance tuning.
Strong knowledge for network troubleshooting.
Delivery Coordinate for building servers remotely.
Setting up the Resource Records as per the customer requirement in the DNS portals, registration
of new machines in to DNS servers.
Configuring FTP server and managing FTP users.
System activity, performance, CPU activity, usage, memory and disk space.
Manage log files.
Backing up Server data using tar, gzip, scp, rsync. etc.
Knowledge in applying IPtables firewall and TCP wrappers in order to provide host level security.
