ELIGIBILITY
Master Degree/Honours Degree in any subject securing at least 60% marks (minimum 45%
according to CBSE Norms) from any recognized University with good academic records. B.T./B.Ed from any recognized University/ T.Ed (6 months abridge course certified by Tripura
University/CETE from IGNOU (6 months certificate course). Minimum 8 years relevant work experience in academics is mandatory Should be aged between 35 to 55 years
NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB
The Principal will be an educational leader, responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and
procedures to ensure that entire staff and students are supervised in a safe, growing and learning
environment to meet the CBSE curriculum in line with the shared vision and values of the School. At
the same time, ensures optimization of resources, minimize cost and make quality education
affordable. The Principal is required to work closely and under direct supervision of the
Management and build an effective learning environment for the students and the teachers. Principal is required to get involved in joint activity that directs, mentor and nurture staff members
and the students. Supposed to be an outstanding counselor that communicates effectively with
parents and staff. To be responsible for mentoring, scheduling, curriculum planning, emergency
procedures, extracurricular activities, personnel management and other facility operations. Thus, will be guardian of the School, Mentor to the Teachers and Role Model for students. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To function as a Member of the School Managing Committee for contributing to the
implementation of Institutional Policies for the operation and functioning of the school, by: Understanding the vision, mission, medium and long term goals and objectives of the school
based on the concept note prepared for the School Implementing the policies, procedures and guidelines designed and approved by the
Management including instructional programmes, academic systems, academic materials, activity calendar, extracurricular activities, discipline systems, administrative systems, financial systems, HR systems and such other systems, policies, rules, regulations and
guidelines. Ensuring safe and healthy working environment, building maintenance by managing
evaluating and supervising clear procedures for its operation
Implementing effective personnel management, office operations and emergency
procedures Managing, mentoring and evaluating the complete operations management of the school Ensure compliance with CBSE, NCF, RTE, its policies, statutes and laws and implementing CCE
in spirit and practices being followed in the institution
Ensuring that the School meets its agreed academic performance targets and key
performance indicators as decided by the Management
2. To provide academic leadership for excelling in school education and achieving
academic excellence, by: Establishing and promoting high academic standards and expectations for all students and
staff for academic performance
Ensuring the delivery of the curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment strategies, having particular regard to the student experience. Promoting the students to achieve excellence in academics as well as co-curricular activities
at national level Organizing and conducting faculty meetings and promoting parent’s education programmes Preparing statistical data and comprehensive reports of all the educational activities Supervising procedures for identifying the special needs of students including health-related
issues, physical and emotional needs and SEN students and taking appropriate actions taking
parents into confidence
3. To function as an administrator for the smooth operations of the school by: Preparing academic calendar and plan all the activities for the students, teachers and staff
throughout the year to meet the objectives Defining and framing the key performance areas, roles and responsibilities of each staff Directing assemblies and other special gatherings of students for events throughout the year Researching and collecting the data regarding the needs of students, and other relevant
information
Establishing and maintaining an effective inventory system for all school supplies, materials
and equipments Establishing procedures to create and maintain attractive, organized, functional, healthy, clean, and safe working environment Taking responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of students, employees and visitors Developing clearly understood procedures and provide regular safety practices for
emergencies Developing and maintaining a master schedule to be posted for all teachers and staff Maintaining account for all student activity funds and money collected from Students for any cause
Establishing procedures for safe storing and integrity of all public and confidential school records by ensuring that student records are complete and updated
Supervising a safe recreation and play methods for the students Managing, directing, and maintaining records for materials, supplies and equipment which
are necessary to use in daily school routine
Effectively and efficiently using school resources including staffing, finances, information, estates and capital to ensure delivery according to agreed plan and within budget Preparing annual budget for the school and meeting the objectives
4. To encourage a jubilant, positive and open learning working environment in the school for
creating a healthy work culture and setting up an example,
