Performing structural design and analysis calculations as per governing codes, standards & regulations, engineering formulas, best engineering practice and skill / experience.
Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents.
Analyze and think innovatively to make the product technically advanced, compact and cost effective.
Analysis report generation & grouping of structural members as per criticality.
Performing transport analysis, lifting analysis, etc.
Performing load & COG calculations.
Lifting lug / pad eye sizing, Sling / Shackle calculation, Spreader bar calculation.
Guiding Designers in Structural fabrication drawing preparation.
Review of structural fabrication drawings.
Attending the client meetings and responding to queries.
Must be a self-starter, ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate well within the team as well as with other discipline personnel.
Organize the department, section or workplace so that any operation or work carried out is to a satisfactory standard of safety, with minimum risk to persons, materials and equipment.
Implementation of Health and Safety management system.
Participates to HIARA and for new activities/task
Takes part in all accident / incident investigations.
Allocate enough time for Toolbox meetings and HSE training.
Co-operate in the investigation of accidents with the objective of introducing methods to prevent re-occurrence.
Report all the unsafe conditions, near misses, Incidents etc. immediately to the HSE department and ensure adequate control measures are taken to rectify the issues.
